Goodbye Column: Angie Tra

Business Director

I was never someone who was able to actually push myself to get involved in extracurricular activities in school. I took a leap of faith and applied for Rowdy during my sophomore year in 2020 without a single ounce of experience, and I was taken into Rowdy’s arms. Even though I joined when COVID started and everything transitioned online, I was still able to meet some of the most amazing people and become a part of a real team. I have never known what I wanted to do with my life, but since joining Rowdy, I’ve come to realize the media industry is where I want to be. It’s a way for me to be a part of the creativity and admire the team’s work.

Rowdy has exposed me to some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. Everyone on the team is truly so talented — and they’re the sweetest. Seeing Rowdy grow from what it was when I joined two years ago to what it is now has been an unmatched feeling. It’s crazy to think a group of students really can do all of this on our own as a self-funded magazine. Five volumes later, I've learned so much and am excited to see where I go next!

To my lovely business team: Thank you for giving me the space to become a director for the first time and for putting in the effort to help the business team and Rowdy as a whole flourish.

To my Ana, Gabi, and Juliette: Thanks for helping me along the way and supporting me from volume to volume.

I would like to thank this magazine for giving me the opportunity to grow personally and meet some of my besties. I love Rowdy with all of my heart. I will forever cherish my time with Rowdy, the people I’ve met, and memories from events!!!!
