Katie Delk is a sophomore writer at UF studying journalism and anthropology. She wrote for the website about activism, spirituality and culture last summer and fall.
As a kid, she was only quiet when she read, which was most of the time. Much the same, fantasy plots and characters still occupy her mind, and she still rambles about her latest discoveries. (She is reading Game of Thrones, and the other day, she learned sequoia trees thrive in fires). Her dream is to write for a magazine or to write a book. Now, she also writes for Hu Magazine and The Alligator.
Along with reading, she is outside as often as she can, meditates and plays guitar. She immensely cares about the earth and social justice and hopes to amplify marginalized voices with Rowdy.
